What Is a Fire-Rated Roller Shutter?
A fire-rated roller shutter separates two areas in industrial facilities to provide fire isolation. When temperature rises it closes via its release mechanism, preventing the spread of smoke and flames and containing the danger until intervention.
It is activated by fusible links or central detection systems; with a fusible link it closes mechanically at 73 °C.
