What Is an Automatic Roller Shutter?
An automatic roller shutter is a motorised security door whose slats coil onto a shaft above the opening. ALD roller shutters come in three groups: steel shutters, aluminium shutters and aluminium window shutters.
Slats are produced by roll forming, with profile types and thicknesses chosen according to shutter size. Made-to-measure slats suit any size of opening and, being resistant to explosive and flammable substances, protect your premises securely. Perforated and windowed slats let shops display products even when closed.

How Does a Roller Shutter Work?
Slats coil onto a shaft inside a box above the opening. A tubular or side motor turns the shaft; side guides lead the slats.
A command is given by remote, button or key.
The motor turns the shaft and slats coil upwards.
When closing, slats descend in the side guides.
Motors with obstacle detection stop the shutter on contact.
